MAOKI COFFEE AND FOOD
Dharmawangsa Square GF
Jalan Dharmawangsa VI No. 43
Kebayoran Baru, Jakarta Selatan 12160
Opening hours: 7 AM-9 PM
Located at Dharmawangsa Square, this humble new coffee shop which just celebrated its grand opening yesterday is here to give variety (and their aromatic coffee) to the lowkey Dharmawangsa (well not so much the neighborhood because it's one of the poshest around town) but truth be told there's just not a lot of coffee shops in that area. I think the easy coffee trend is absolutely growing and Maoki tries to offer their own with Maoki? Iced Coffee (IDR 25k) that I found simple, sweet, creamy with flavor that should be easily accepted, and I found the texture of the waffle to be the winner: soft, airy, fluffy and fragrant.
SANA COFFEE at SANA STUDIO
Jalan Panglima Polim V No. 38
Melawai, Kebayoran Baru
Jakarta Barat 12160
0813 - 2233 - 2821
Jack and Zef are such coffee hunters and we were totally coffee-drunk yesterday (at least I was), after Maoki we went to another newly opened coffee shop in Panglima Polim called SANA, which is located in SANA STUDIO precisely beside Mangia and across Woodpecker. I heard Tuku supports the coffee here because my friend happens to be the friend of the owner and it tasted a bit similar only sweeter.
LEONJalan Wijaya I No. 25
Wijaya, Kebayoran Baru
Jakarta Selatan 12160
Opening hours: 11 AM-2 AM
Leon at Jalan Wijaya was our last destination to go & kill time before having dinner at BATS Shangri-La. The restaurant was very pretty, spacious and beautifully decorated to give me this vintage urban chic New York 1920s vibe. Had the not-so-light-bites to share: Quesadilla and Seafood Platter (IDR 110k) and I found them to be surprisingly good, the quesadilla had this generous filling, seasoned beautifully and paired with some condiments (guacamole, homemade sauce, tomato salsa) and the seafood platter was simple, salty (in a good way), generous with ingredient that's fresh.
